Itinerary

Day 1 Your adventure begins as you board the coach and journey to Pembrokeshire’s vibrant heart – Carmarthen. Upon arrival at the Ivy Bush Hotel, settle in and enjoy a warm welcome with tea, coffee and traditional mince pies. Take some time to relax before dinner is served.

Day 2 Today we head west to the charming seaside village of Saundersfoot. Wander around its quaint harbour and breathe in the fresh sea air. Next, we visit Tenby, Southwest Wales’ jewel on the coast. Explore its medieval town walls, meander through narrow cobbled streets lined with colourful shops, or enjoy a walk along its sandy beaches. We return to the hotel where a festive Christmas dinner with all the trimmings will be served.

Day 3 Our excursion today takes us to the city of Swansea, where we visit the Welsh National Waterfront Museum to discover the area’s rich heritage through engaging exhibits. Enjoy some free time in Swansea, perhaps take a stroll around the picturesque marina or explore the city’s vibrant streets. Later, we visit The Mumbles, a delightful seaside village known for its charming shops and cafes along the promenade. We will celebrate New Years’s eve at the hotel later.

Day 4 Today our excursion takes us first to the National Wool Museum of Wales where we learn about the heritage of wool making in this area. We then, move on to Cardigan, at the mouth of the River Teifi, which flows into Cardigan Bay. There will be time for lunch and a chance to explore the town before we head around the Scenic Preseli Mountains and make our way back to Carmarthen.

Day 5 As our memorable holiday draws to a close, we stop at Hay-on-Wye, the famed ‘town of books’ recently named ‘best Town in Wales’. Nestled on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, this charming market town offers unique bookstores, cosy cafés, and beautiful scenery. After some free time, we begin our journey home, with comfort stops along the way.
