Itinerary
Come and join us for a festive Pre-Christmas break, shake of the winter blues on this fabulous Turkey & Tinsel break. Give yourself a bit of a breather before the chaos of Christmas begins.
Day 1 (Christmas Eve) Commence your journey by joining the coach for a leisurely trip south to Portsmouth. If time allows, take advantage of some free time to explore the historic city before boarding the ferry for a brief crossing to the Isle of Wight. Upon arrival, a short drive will transport you to the hotel, where you can settle in and begin to unwind.
Day 2 (Christmas day) Embark on a scenic tour of the Isle of Wight, often referred as the ‘Diamond Isle’. Visit Alum Bay, famous for its coloured sand, and marvel at the dramatic chalk formations of The Needles. Continuing your journey to the picturesque village of Godshill, known for its quaint thatched cottages, medieval church, and traditional tea rooms. In the evening, enjoy a visit from one of Santa’s special helpers followed by a traditional Christmas dinner.
Day 3 (Boxing Day) Spend a leisurely day exploring the delightful seaside town of Sandown, celebrated for its expansive sandy beach and iconic Victorian pier. Whether you opt for a brisk coastal walk or simply choose to unwind in town, Sandown’s serene ambiance and festive spirit provide the perfect setting for relaxation.
Day 4 (New Years Eve) Today we explore the seaside town of Ryde, boasting glorious beaches, boutique shops and a variety of independent eateries. Immerse yourself in the quintessential seaside atmosphere and savour the stunning views across the Solent to the mainland. Early afternoon we return to Sandown to prepare for a memorable New Year’s Eve celebration, featuring lively entertainment and festivities in the grand ballroom.
Day 5 Bid farewell to The Isle of Wight as you journey home, with a stop in Winchester for a short visit en route.
