Itinerary
Day 1 Our holiday begins with a stop in the lively seaside town of Bournemouth. Spend some free time browsing the quaint shops or enjoying a leisurely walk along the pier. Later, we’ll continue on to our Weymouth hotel, where you can unwind and get settled before dinner.
Day 2 This morning we journey west along the Jurassic Coast, calling at the picturesque town of Lyme Regis “The Pearl of Dorset”, explore its iconic Cobb harbour and charming streets or hunt for fossils on the beach. We continue to West Bay, the striking coastal location made famous by TV dramas, before returning to Weymouth.
Day 3 Enjoy a lovely day in Dorchester, Thomas Hardy’s beloved market town, rich in history and character. Spend time wandering the streets, browsing the Wednesday market for local produce, crafts, and unique finds, and visit the Dorset County Museum and Maiden Castle.
Day 4 Today is yours to explore Weymouth at your own pace. Explore the picturesque harbour. Or browse the town’s quaint shops. Enjoy a lunch at one of the many restaurants, sip coffee by the promenade or simply unwind at the hotel.
Day 5 On the final day, we’ll stop in Salisbury, renowned for its stunning medieval cathedral, which houses one of the four surviving original copies of the Magna Carta. Take some time to wander through the Old City, exploring its charming cobbled streets, unique shops, and historic pubs. After soaking in the sights, we’ll complete our journey home.
