Itinerary

Day 1 Our holiday begins with stop at Trentham Estate, where you can stretch your legs, enjoy a coffee, or browse the boutique shops. We then continue north to the charming coastal town of Grange-over-Sands, nestled on the edge of the Lake District. On arrival, settle into your hotel and perhaps enjoy a gentle stroll along the promenade before dinner is served.

Day 2 After breakfast, we travel to Fort William, our base for the holiday, with stops at the fascinating New Lanark Mill, a beautifully preserved 18th-century cotton mill village and UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the stunning Loch Lomond (Luss Viewpoint), taking in the panoramic views of one of Scotland’s most iconic lochs. We then continue through the breathtaking Highland scenery, arriving in Fort William, where a warm welcome awaits.

Day 3 Today we venture north through the stunning Great Glen to Inverness, capital of the Highlands. Enjoy time to explore the city before heading to the legendary Loch Ness for a scenic cruise on its mysterious waters. Take in the views of Urquhart Castle and the tranquil Highland landscapes.

Day 4 Your driver needs a well-earned day off today, so it’s your turn to take the wheel! Frequent local buses can take you to town, where you can wander the streets of Fort William, hop on the Nevis Range Gondola for breathtaking views of Ben Nevis, or stretch your legs with a stroll to the spectacular Steall Falls. You can explore the West Highland Museum, while those with a taste for the finer things can enjoy a tour of a local distillery.

Day 5 An unforgettable day awaits as we journey to the magical Isle of Skye, passing some of Scotland’s most dramatic scenery. Admire the iconic Eilean Donan Castle before crossing the Skye Bridge to discover the island’s rugged beauty. We head to Portree where you can enjoy a gentle stroll along the colourful harbour, browse the local shops, or relax at a café while taking in the stunning coastal views.

Day 6 After breakfast, we bid farewell to the Highlands and travel south towards Newcastle, pausing in historic Stirling. Discover the magnificent Stirling Castle or the impressive Wallace Monument, both offering a glimpse into Scotland’s fascinating past. We arrive at the Grand Hotel, Gosforth Park, Newcastle by late afternoon.

Day 7 Following breakfast, we begin our journey home, with comfort stops along the way. Sit back, relax, and reflect on a week filled with spectacular landscapes, rich history, and the warm spirit of Scotland.
