We then continue via the spectacular Llanberis Pass, offering breathtaking views of Snowdon, the highest peak in Wales, before arriving at the historic royal town of Caernarfon. Here you’ll have time to explore the bustling streets, stylish waterfront, and maybe visit the awe-inspiring Caernarfon Castle – a UNESCO World Heritage Site built in medieval history.
Day 3 Enjoy a leisure day in the enchanting Victorian Seaside resort of Llandudno. Take a stroll along the Promenade, admire the superb views from the historic Victorian pier - the longest in Wales. Alternatively, maybe take a ride on the Great Orme Tramway, Britain’s only funicular tramway which has been delighting visitors since 1902.
Day 4 After breakfast, we set off across the Menai Straight onto the Isle of Anglesey, famed for its unspoilt coastline, dramatic cliffs and peaceful coves. Our first stop is the picturesque town of Beaumaris, with its pastel-coloured houses, quaint streets, and impressive 13th century castle. Afterwards, enjoy a delightful boat trip to Puffin Island (subject to weather conditions), a small wildlife-rich sanctuary. Keep your eyes peeled for colonies of seabirds, grey seals and if we’re lucky a glimpse of bottle nose dolphins!
Day 5 We bid farewell to Llandudno and begin our journey home, stopping at the historic market town of Shrewsbury, renowned for its wealth of timber-framed buildings. Enjoy some free time to explore its independent shops, cafés and medieval streets before we continue our journey, reflecting on a wonderful few days of sightseeing, good company and cherished memories.
