Itinerary

Day 1 We head north with a stop in the charming market town of Newark. Stroll through the streets, browse the local shops, and grab a relaxed lunch. Continuing, we’ll arrive at the welcoming Esplanade Hotel in Scarborough, where you can settle in and unwind before dinner.

Day 2 Today we’re off to Beverley, a lovely historic market town with bags of character. Famous for its magnificent Minster, cobbled streets, and lively Saturday market, Beverley is packed with independent shops, inviting cafés, and charming pubs. After exploring Beverley, we’ll head to the classic seaside resort of Bridlington. Take a stroll along the glorious promenade, visit the harbour, or simply sit with a cuppa and watch the world go by.

Day 3 We’ll journey along the beautiful coastal road to Whitby, a historic fishing town forever linked to Captain James Cook and Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Explore the dramatic ruins of Whitby Abbey, browse quirky shops along cobbled lanes, and the harbour. And of course you can’t visit Whitby without sampling its world-famous fish and chips! On our way back, we’ll stop at Robin Hood’s Bay, a picture-postcard fishing village set on the Heritage Coast with its winding streets and fascinating history.

Day 4 Today is yours to enjoy Scarborough however you like. Fancy a bit of history? Explore the dramatic ruins of Scarborough Castle. Head to the bustling seafront for ice cream and fresh seafood stalls for a classic seaside experience. You could visit Peasholm Park with its lovely boating lake and miniature railway or take a peaceful walk through South Cliff Gardens. Or just kick back, soak up the views. It’s your day, your way!

Day 5 After a hearty breakfast, we’ll wave goodbye to Scarborough and start our journey home. On the way, we’ll make a stop at the Downtown Store in Grantham, a great place to browse for a few bargains or enjoy a bite to eat in their café. Then it’s time for the final leg of our journey, heading home.
