Itinerary

Day 1 We set off on our journey to Weston Super Mare, enjoying comfort stops along the way. We aim to arrive at our hotel late afternoon, giving you time to check in and settle into your room before dinner is served.

Day 2 Our day begins with an exciting excursion through the Mendip Hills to Shepton Mallet Prison, a site steeped in history. Once Britain’s oldest working prison, it housed some of the country’s most notorious inmates, including the infamous Kray Twins. Decommissioned in 2013, it has since been transformed into the Southwest’s most intriguing and chilling tourist attractions. We continue to historic Wells, England’s smallest city. Here you can marvel at the stunning Wells Cathedral and stroll along Vicar's Close, the oldest medieval residential street in Europe.

Day 3 Today we embark on a nostalgic journey aboard the West Somerset Railway, England’s longest heritage railway. This picturesque twenty-mile trip takes us from Bishops Lydeard through the beautiful Quantock Hills to the charming seaside resort of Minehead. On arrival you’ll have free time to explore the town, perhaps strolling along the promenade or visiting local shops and cafes before we return to our hotel for dinner.

Day 4 We begin our day with a visit to the legendry town of Glastonbury. Perhaps explore the atmospheric ruins of Glastonbury Abbey, once the wealthiest abbey in England and the controversial burial place of King Arthur. Take time to wander around the quirky shops filled with unique and mystical items. In the afternoon, we head to Street, home of Clarks Village, the UK’s first outlet shopping centre, offering a range of top brands.

Day 5 After breakfast, we bid farewell to Weston Super Mare and make our way to Bristol, one of Britain’s oldest ports. Bristol is a treasure trove of historic interest, where you’ll have time to explore its rich heritage. After some time to explore, we continue our journey home, with comfort stops en route, reflecting on the wonderful memories made during our tour.
