Itinerary
Day 1 We travel south towards the beautiful coastal town of Bournemouth, one of the UK’s most treasured seaside destinations. Along the way, enjoy leisurely comfort stops before arriving in the late afternoon at the welcoming Riviera Hotel. Once checked in, settle down and start soaking up the fresh sea air and laid-back coastal atmosphere.
Day 2 Today, we set off for a full day in the charming seaside town of Weymouth. Settle into a deckchair on the award-winning beach or Stroll along the historic esplanade, discover quirky independent shops and traditional rock stalls, or take in the bustling atmosphere of the picturesque harbour. When it’s time for lunch, you’ll find plenty to tempt your taste buds from freshly caught seafood to hearty pub favourites.
Day 3 A day of freedom to make your own discoveries in beautiful Bournemouth. Stroll along seven miles of Blue Flag golden beaches or the towns bustling centre offering chic boutiques to big-name brands. Why not pause for an ice cream at a seafront or take in some of the towns cultural gems like local galleries, museums and the fascinating Oceanarium?
Day 4 Today promises a feast for the senses as we journey into the heart of the New Forest National Park. Enjoy a scenic drive through this enchanting landscape of ancient woodland and wandering ponies. Our first stop is the charming village of Lyndhurst, with its inviting high street and relaxing forest walks. We then continue to the picturesque riverside village of Buckler’s Hard, once a thriving shipbuilding centre for Nelson’s Navy. We visit the museum, where you can discover the history of this unique 18th century village, before embarking on a tranquil cruise down the River Beaulieu, an unspoilt haven which is rich in history and wildlife.
Day 5 It’s time to wave goodbye to Bournemouth! The homeward journey includes a leisurely break in the historic city of Winchester to enjoy lunch, stretch your legs, and perhaps visit the magnificent cathedral or charming independent shops.
