Itinerary
Day 1 We embark on our scenic journey to the beautiful seaside haven of Llandudno. Along the way, we’ll enjoy relaxing breaks, offering you the chance to stretch your legs and refresh. By late afternoon, we’ll arrive at the Baytree Hotel, with time to settle in before dinner is served.
Day 2 Today, we venture into the heart of Snowdonia National Park, through the scenic Vale of Conwy to the enchanting village of Betws-y- Coed, known for its Alpine atmosphere, quaint shops, inviting tea rooms, and cosy cafés. Our journey continues through the dramatic landscapes of Snowdonia, before arriving at the extraordinary Portmeirion. This unique, Italianate village is famed for its pastel-hued villas, lush sub-tropical gardens, and picturesque estuary setting. Immortalised as the backdrop for the cult 1960s series The Prisoner, and imaginative architecture.
Day 3 Immerse yourself in a free day to explore Llandudno, affectionately known as the ‘Queen of Welsh Resorts’. You might like to take a leisurely stroll along the elegant Promenade or admire the views from the historic Victorian Pier - the longest in Wales. For a little adventure, perhaps board the Great Orme Tramway, Britain’s only remaining funicular tramway, which has been delighting visitors since 1902.
Day 4 After breakfast, we set out to explore captivating Isle of Anglesey, separated from the mainland by the Menai Strait. Witness breathtaking landscapes, unspoiled coastlines, sandy beaches, dramatic cliffs, and rocky coves. We’ll visit the charming seaside town of Beaumaris, renowned for its striking mix of architectural styles.
Day 5 We bid a fond “hwyl fawr” (goodbye) to Llandudno. En route home, we’ll stop at the delightful Trentham Estate, home to award-winning gardens, a charming shopping village, and an extensive garden centre. (Please note entry to gardens not included).
