Itinerary

Day 1 We board the coach and head south to Portsmouth. If time permits, we’ll enjoy some free time in this historic port before boarding the ferry to the Isle of Wight. Upon arrival, we will make the short journey to Daish’s hotel in Shanklin and settle in to our hotel.

Day 2 Spend a leisurely day discovering Shanklin, nestled on the island’s south east coast. Enjoy a classic beach day on the long, wide sandy shores, or take a stroll through Shanklin Chine, a picturesque, wooded ravine. Explore the Old Village with its unique independent shops, restaurants, and pubs, offering a quintessentially English seaside experience. With so many delightful attractions, your day will be filled with memorable activities.

Day 3 This morning we embark on a scenic drive to the quaint resort of Ryde, the seafront is its crowning glory with miles of gorgeous sand, and a seawall footpath that takes you past lovely cafes and restaurants. Did you know, the Beatles hit, Ticket to Ride was inspired by a trip to Ryde. In the afternoon we make our way to Carisbrook Castle, a mighty medieval fortress, a prison for a tragic king and home of Queen Victoria’s youngest daughter. Nowadays the most famous residents are the Carisbrook donkeys.

Day 4 Prepare for an exciting day as we visit Osborne House, the palatial seaside home once beloved by Queen Victoria. Explore the opulent and undoubtedly impressive private apartments and State Rooms, stroll through the beautiful, manicured gardens, and visit the beach where the royal family once relaxed. The stunning views over the Solent, which reminded Prince Albert of the Bay of Naples, are sure to impress.

Day 5 As our delightful holiday comes to an end, we bid a fond farewell to Isle of Wight and begin our way home. We’ll make comfort stops along the way, allowing you to stretch your legs.
