Itinerary
Day 1 We begin our adventure by making our way to Dover, where we board the ferry for a short channel crossing to Calais. On arrival in France, we continue to the Mercure Roeselare Hotel. A warm welcome awaits with a glass of sparkling wine or orange juice, followed by dinner.
Day 2 Today we travel to the magical city of Bruges, a UNESCO World Heritage gem famed for its cobbled streets, canals, gothic architecture, and world-class chocolate. In the afternoon, to get a real taste of Bruges, we enjoy a guided tour at the Bourgogne des Flanders Brewery, discover the secrets of Belgian beer-making, followed by a tasting session in the alehouse. Afterwards, enjoy free time- perhaps take a horse-drawn carriage ride, indulge in sweet treats from a chocolate boutique, or see the town from a different perspective, on a relaxing canal cruise.
Day 3 We visit the picturesque city of Ghent, where ancient architecture, a vibrant arts scene, and countless bridges and waterways await. Spend the morning at leisure exploring the historic centre, browsing the boutiques, or admiring landmarks like Gravensteen Castle or St. Bavo’s Cathedral. In the afternoon, we enjoy a 50-minute circular cruise, gliding through Ghent’s waterways while tucking into sandwiches and tea/coffee on board.
Day 4 After breakfast, we begin our journey home, returning to Calais for our ferry back to Dover, with comfort stops along the way, the perfect time to reminisce on the sights, tastes, and charms of your time in Belgium.
