Day 1
After an early start we make our way to Heysham to board our 14.45 ferry to Douglas
Day 2
Today we take the Isle of Man Steam Railway from Douglas to Castletown in the south of the island. Visit Castle Rushen, the magnificent preserved medieval fortress that dominates the town. We then travel to the very end of the island to enjoy a 180 degree view of the “Calf of Man” from the visitor centre at The Sound. We continue to Port Erin for free time before boarding the steam train for the journey back to Douglas.
Day 3
Another treat as we ride on the Manx Electric Railway from Douglas to Laxey to visit the Great Laxey Wheel the largest working waterwheel in the world. We travel over part of the famous TT motorcycle course to Peel where you can see Manx Kippers being smoked. We return to Douglas via Tynwald Hill, the traditional ancient meeting place of the Manx Parliament.
Day 4
Free day to explore Douglas. Take a horse tram along the promenade, visit the Manx Museum or take the electric tram again to visit Ramsey in the north or if it’s a clear day, Snaefell.
Day 5
Early breakfast before our 08.45 ferry back to England.
