Exmouth

It was developed as a resort in Georgian times and was home to such famous people as Lady Nelson and Lady Byron. Here impressive red cliffs sheltering a tiny harbour overlook two miles of golden sands. The estuary of the beautiful River Exe is renowned nationally and beyond as a site of special scientific interest and important habitat for many wading and migrating birds. There are also lovely gardens, a busy marina, boat trips aplenty and a variety of shops, restaurants, old pubs, interesting walks and amusements, something for all.

Welcome to The Manor Hotel, with its enviable position situated on Exmouth's historic Regency Beacon. The Manor Hotel is just a few houses away from the former residence of both Lady Nelson and Lady Byron. It was one of the first properties to be built on The Beacon and is in fact Exmouth's oldest hostelry dating back to the 1790s and was once visited by the composer Franz Liszt in 1840. The Manor is just a short stroll to the beach and the town with stunning views accross the Exmouth bay.
